Researchers from the Healthy Aging & Resilient Places (HARP) Lab recently participated in the 2026 Healthy City Atlas Data Fellowship Workshop in Yangpyeong, South Korea. The two-day workshop brought together faculty members, researchers, and student fellows to explore new approaches to data-driven research on healthy cities.

As part of the Healthy City Atlas project, funded by the National Research Foundation of Korea, participants attended sessions on Korea’s National Health Insurance Service (NHIS) data, AI-assisted dashboard development, and emerging applications of artificial intelligence in urban health research. Data fellows also presented projects that will help expand the Healthy City Atlas platform.

The workshop strengthened international collaboration among researchers working at the intersection of urban planning, public health, and data science while providing practical training in innovative tools for healthy city research.
